Welcome to Jeffrey Kuraun Foundation

Chairman's Desk
- Mrs Torkwase Kuraun
In recent times, the conflicts and natural disasters in many parts of Nigeria, have led to the destruction of lives, property, and livelihoods, thereby exacerbating hardships on many people, especially women, children, youth, persons with disabilities, aged people, internally displaced persons and immigrants. In addition to hunger, starvations, and untimely deaths caused by these conflicts and disasters, there have been increased sexual and gender based violence, human trafficking, and cultism, which women, young girls, and our youth and displaced populations have been on the receiving end. The need to safeguard the lives of vulnerable people; empower women and youth to play active roles in peace building processes; promote environmental sustainability; increase gender equality, as well as bring enduring peace and development to communities, As part of the contributions of my dear husband Dr. Jeffrey my humble self, to these humanitarian crises, we made a pledge to God that we would put aside a percentage of our earnings to support the needy. That is what led to the establishment of the Jeffrey Kuraun Foundation.
