Theme: Empower Her: From Loss to Leadership
Welcome to WoToday, on World Widow’s Day, the Jeffrey Kuraun Foundation stands in solemn solidarity with every woman who has faced the heartbreaking journey of widowhood. We recognize not only the grief of loss but also the burden of stigma, silence, and survival that too many widows are forced to carry alone.
But beyond the pain, we see potential.
This year’s theme “Empower Her: From Loss to Leadership” speaks directly to our mission: to uplift, equip, and empower widows to rise from the shadows of sorrow into positions of strength, service, and leadership. A widow is not a woman to be pitied, she is a pillar of courage, resilience, and quiet power. What she needs is not just sympathy, but opportunity.
Through our interventions in economic empowerment, education, healthcare, we at the Jeffrey Kuraun Foundation are helping widows transition from dependency to dignity. We fund small businesses for widows, offer scholarships to their children, and create platforms where their voices can be heard, not as victims, but as visionaries.
We believe that when you empower a widow, you don’t just rebuild a life, you rebuild a family, a community, and a generation.
On this day, let us renew our commitment to create a society where no widow is left behind, unheard, or unseen. Let us empower her, from loss to leadership.rdPress. This is your first post. Edit or delete it, then start writing!
